You know, the person who criticizes a movie for going off the rails in the believable department. Just because, in my opinion, a complete lack of believable combat kills the immersion. Fortunately, there are plenty of examples now where those character attributes could be represented in other ways, beyond +/- to damage, hit chance, etc.Įven if the standard game simplifies everything down to +/- bonuses to damage, hit chance, etc., I'd like to hope another mode of play where the combat is more believable would be an option. Obviously, reaching the point where character attributes become meaningful when you can instant kill targets with a head shot is a challenge. Shooting a unprotected person in the face 40 times to take them down isn't. The reason I pointed it out was you can have reasonably believable combat in an RPG. Even though it had a progression system behind it. I was implying the combat itself was more in-line with action combat. I wasn't at all implying TW3 wasn't an RPG.
